On July 19th,Oceanwide Education Aid Program Seminar 2018  was held in Minsheng Financial Centre in Beijing,in order to sum up experience and learn lessons from Oceanwide Education Aid Program in 2016-2017, and take measures for its better implemention in 2018 and later.

　　The　charging　members from ten provinces of Guangxi,Chongqing,Hubei,Guizhou,Shandong,Shaanxi,Hebei,Inner Mongolia,Hei longjiang,and Hunan provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) ,and the main leaders from Bohai Bank,China Oceanwide Holdings Group (COHG) and the Oceanwide Foundation watched its promo and discussed what have been done in the past and what will be done in future.

　　Chairman of China Oceanwide Holding Group Co., Ltd ,Lu Zhiqiang,actively in response to President Xi Jinping’s call of “targeted poverty alleviation, precise poverty alleviation, and win the Battle against Poverty”, whose remarkable deeds won a high appreciation from the staff and made a profound impact on the society. In 2018,Oceanwide Education Aid Program will continuly donate 100,000 college students from local registered poor families each year(i.e. donation of RMB 5,000 Yuan to each student from poor families), which is not only an aid in need,but the love from the country and society.

　　It was introduced that,on the first national poverty alleviation award recognition conference 2016, Lu Zhiqiang,CPPCC National Committee member and Chairman of China Oceanwide Holdings Group won the “National Prize for poverty alleviation”. China Oceanwide has been adhering to the business philosophy of “Three Integrations”, namely, integration of social goal, corporate goal and individual goal; integration of social responsibility, corporate responsibility and individual responsibility; integration of social benefit, corporate benefit and individual benefit, and the core value of “Benefiting from the society, and contributing for society”. With the development of the group, China Oceanwide is enthusiastic in public welfare and actively fulfills corporate social responsibilities.

　　After the initial pilot and on-the-spot investigation, China Oceanwide Holdings Group (COHG) incorporated the poverty alleviation work into the group’s five-year development strategy at the end of 2015,and prepared the two five-year implementation plans -- poverty alleviation by industrial investment and public welfare for the next five years (2016 – 2020),with the strong support from United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee and relevant departments. The program is implemented as below: COHG  donates RMB 50 million Yuan to Guangxi, Chongqing, Hubei, Guizhou, Shandong, and Shaanxi provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) respectively each year from 2016 to 2020, totaling RMB 1.5 billion Yuan in five years, with a view to benefiting 10,000 college students from local registered poor families each year (i.e. donation of RMB 5,000 Yuan to each student from poor families, totaling 300,000 college students in five years.)In 2017,it added Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang and Hu’nan on the basis of original 6 provinces (municipalities),nearly 160,000 college students were benefited,and the donation amount increased from 1.5 billion Yuan to 2.3 billion Yuan, from which 460,000 students from ten provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities) have been benefited.
