On January 11th, the ceremony of the 12th People’s Enterprise Social Responsibility Award was held in Beijing on the theme of “new era, new responsibilities and new responsibilities”. The “Oceanwide Education Aid Program” sponsored by China Oceanwide Holding Group won the Annual Model Award.

　　Over the past thirty years, China Oceanwide always adhere to the “from the society, for the society” corporate values, adhere to the “Three Integrations” business philosophy, initiated the establishment of the Oceanwide Foundation, the China Arts Foundation and Shandong Oceanwide Foundation one after another. Over the past thirty years, China Oceanwide has contributed more than 6 billion Yuan to the public welfare undertakings in total, and more than 300 public welfare projects have been funded, and millions of people have been benefited.

　　Since the Central Developing Poverty Alleviation Conference, China Oceanwide has been actively responding to the call of the Central Committee of the CPC and the State Council to boost poverty alleviation and take part in the national poverty alleviation campaign into the development strategy of enterprises. By 2016, Oceanwide Foundation initiated by China Oceanwide carried out “Oceanwide Education Aid Program”: from 2016 to 2020, has donated 50 million Yuan each year  in 6 provinces including Shandong, Hubei, Guangxi, Chongqing, Guizhou and Shaanxi  (autonomous regions and municipalities) , every year has helped 10 thousand poor university freshmen in each province. In 5 years, a total of 1.5 billion Yuan was donated to help 300 thousand poor students to realize their dream of learning.

　　In order to further improve the precise poverty alleviation, in 2017, Chinese Oceanwide expanded the scope of “Oceanwide Education Aid Program”. It added Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang and Hu’nan on the basis of original 6 provinces (municipalities), and the donation amount increased from 1.5 billion Yuan to 2.3 billion Yuan, students funded by 300 thousand increased to 460 thousand. Up to now, a total of 777 million 680 thousand funds have been donated to nearly 152 thousand students in poor families.

　　“People’s Enterprise Social Responsibility Award” is sponsored and hosted by the People’s Daily Online. It has been held for 12 years successively, with extensive appeal and social influence. This award is a high recognition and affirmation of the social responsibility of the China Oceanwide for many years. China Oceanwide will continue to do a good job of “Oceanwide Education Aid Program” and other accurate poverty alleviation work, making greater contributions to poverty alleviation.
